As architects, we were in heaven exploring the historic villas. Villa del Balbianello's romantic architecture and perfectly manicured gardens were a highlight. Villa Carlotta's art collection and botanical gardens were equally impressive. Each villa told its own story through its design and history.

The charming towns around the lake were a delight to explore. Bellagio's narrow streets and colorful buildings, Varenna's romantic waterfront, and Como's historic center each had their own unique character. The local cafes and restaurants served up authentic Italian cuisine with views to die for.

Spring and early fall are perfect for visiting—mild weather and fewer crowds. Stay in Bellagio for the classic experience or Varenna for a quieter vibe. Take the ferry to explore different towns—it's the best way to see the lake! The vibe? Pure Italian romance meets architectural perfection!
