Hey, Twin Fam! Roz and Niaz here, your favorite Iranian-American architect duo, spilling all the tea on our 2025 Istanbul adventure! This city's where East meets West, and as twins with Persian roots, we felt right at home in its chaotic, colorful embrace.
A Cultural Fusion
The culture here is a sensory overload—think bustling bazaars, the call to prayer echoing over the Bosphorus, and a vibe that's part Persian, part Ottoman, part modern hustle. We wandered the Grand Bazaar, haggling for spices and rugs (twin tip: bring your charm!), and felt the city's heartbeat.

Culinary Adventures
Food was a journey: kebabs dripping with flavor, pide topped with cheese and lamb, and lokum (Turkish delight) that had Roz hooked—Niaz stuck to the simit, those sesame-covered street rings. We sipped thick Turkish coffee by the water, reading our fortunes in the grounds—twin goals!

Architectural Wonders
Architecture-wise, Istanbul's a dream for us design nerds. The Hagia Sophia's massive dome and minarets? A history lesson in stone—Byzantine meets Islamic genius. Topkapi Palace blew us away with its intricate tiles and sprawling courtyards—shades of Persepolis vibes!

Travel Tips
Hit Istanbul in spring or fall—perfect weather for exploring without melting. Stay near Sultanahmet for the historic core or Beyoğlu for nightlife vibes. Twin moment: Roz got lost in the Spice Bazaar, but Niaz tracked her down with a kebab bribe—check the TikTok blooper!
